the shoes tend to wear at the top a lot, and not much at the bottom.
Hence some people use a spacer washer ..
one 'for' the bottom of each shoe.
that slotted thing the shoe fits in at the bottom ..
it comes out of the block of metal it sits in ( could be stuck too I
imagine ..since that is never taken apart there ) ..
the washer is used to space out that 'slotted thing' ..
one for each shoe.
