hi..
that all makes sense.
I have read where ecu nerds say the chips and circuitry never fail..
just the solder joints.
so ..could be.
Our own David B has posted magnified close-ups of such.
I think more of Air Flow meter ..
( but i also find the idle switchers not making contact at idle all the
time..
and timing too advanced,
dead oxygen sensors, intake leaks ..
exhaust leaks near an oxygen sensor ..all kinds of stuff.
Wonky Temp Sensor II also. )
I just had a 1.9 wbxr that would be 'very flat' for power..
especially like after sitting for traffic to go by ..
when it's time to go ...
extremely week.
I even got it to kinda stutter continuously in 2nd gear at like 3,500+ rpm..
shift up and it would go properly ..
a good used Air flow meter fixed that for sure.
one of my rules is ..
Anywhere there is a meeting of electrons and something physical that moves..
that's a weak spot. Like the sweeper arm in the AFM on the circuit there.
