would love to help you..
but forgot which version and year of vanagon you have.
and I don't see that info hidden anywhere..

if it's a 1.9 wbxr ...I have seen this a few times..
and have things to offer.
same if it's a 2.1 ..
but it sure helps to know what year, model, version, etc.

mercury is retrograde currently,  I realize.
perhaps your fairly intelligent mobile device can be programmed to
include that important information about your vanagon.
