Air can often get sucked in around the threads of the bleeder screws. A
little bit of grease on the threads can help with that. I really prefer to
use a pressure bleeder or the gravity-pump method over the vacuum bleeders.
With the master cylinder and reservoir up so high I find the system will
almost self-bleed if you just give it time.

I have purchased 2 power bleeding devices and I still cannot get this brake
bleeding thing down.  No matter what I do I never get just fluid out of the
bleeder valve, there is always lots of air. I  assumed that the connectors
were allowing air to escape on the sides so I even tried different size
hoses to attach to the bleeder valve.  Still no use,  its always about 50%
air coming out and never stops.

Suggestions appreciated.

(BTW, not sure why but my posts have been taking a long time to propagate
