Translation: if your axle nuts have six castellations you're supposed to replace them with stronger nuts having ten castellations and torque them to a much higher value than the old ones will stand. I infer they were having trouble with the driving splines on the axle slipping in the hub.

Without looking in Bentley though, I believe you only have to do that if you're removing the nuts anyway.
