Hello there, Van-a-rinos! today i find myself overjoyed to once again emerge from my usual lurking and humbly post here among your most esteemed ranks to beg the attention of one who might provide.

i will be hitting the road from my winter post near Redding, CA in about a week and my first stop is Oakland, where a friend has asked me to lend my limited expertise to a '82 diesel with a blowed-up gearbox that was recently gifted to a nonprofit, the sustainable living roadshow. since i won't have time to open it and wait for parts, i am hoping to find a good, swappable replacement that i can pick up somewhere between, say, the oregon border and Santa Cruz.

SO, list, what have you got for me?

incidentally, i'll also be posting up my '83 TD/5sp tintop for sale in a few days, but that's for another post...mostly(just planting seeds!)

thanks alot, list! -Bob
