hi.. I have not noticed that an 85 1.9 plenum is different than and 83 or 84 1.9 waterboxer engine.

what is different in that area is the type of throttle switch used on the throttle body .. 'late' 85's use a 1.9 t-body with a 2.1 type throttle switch on the bottom.

I use these all interchanged back and forth all the time.. I do a slight mod to a 1.9 plenum if I happen to want to run a 1.9 on the later Digifant fuel injection for example. The thing is well held by the intake runners anyway.

I put all 2.1 parts .....throttle body , intake runners, and plenum on 1.9's sometimes.

in any case..I likely have what you need as I have about a dozen plenums , more than that even.
