It cools the fluid better than when it is connected to your engine <SPAN class=misspelled>coolant</SPAN> system. The only thing that I am not sure about is warming the <SPAN class=misspelled>tranny</SPAN> to operating <SPAN class=misspelled>temp</SPAN>. when starting and driving those first few miles.
