I'd be tempted to bring it to another test station. I've had both my vans tested in several places, and each one of them has marked that part of the test N/A. One test tech who was very talkative and HATED the state's arbitrary addition of a new test on old vehicles concluded that not only is the evap system too inaccessible to test properly, they also don't have appropriate adapters to pressure test either the gas cap or the tank. He was ranting (good naturedly) about it for several minutes. The last test I had, 2 months ago, the tech walked around my van for 20 minutes with a mag lite looking for the carbon canister before giving up. I think it's possible you got a tech who THOUGHT he could test the evap system, and mis-recorded a failure that was the result of its non-testability.
