The car manufacturers make zero profit from coolant changes - the dealerships profit from coolant service.

The real issue is that this stuff does not have the heat carrying capacity of conventional cooling. And since everything including the water pump capacity hoses and radiator design are considered when they design a new car the Engineers would have to size accordingly for this coolant. In other words, the water pump, hoses and radiator would need to be larger & more costly.

And they would not be paying anywhere close to retail $200 per car - $10.00 or less per car is probably closer to reality. And the extra $10.00 per car for coolant would be pennies compared to all of the other changes.

Perhaps because adding $200 to the manufacturing cost, and at the same time eliminating the profit they get from doing coolant changes does not make economic sense to them.
