Just wanted to say that I purchased one of the "extend a stay" kits from bus depot, and they work extremely well. I carry along a small 3 pound bottle that I primarily use via the extend a stay, and just use the onboard tank for backup. I even put together a small adapter to allow the disposable 1 pound bottles to be used in a pinch. That adapter saved my butt at least one time when I ran out of propane at 3 AM on a 20° morning. Within about a minute, I had the furnace running again, and the nice thing is that disposable bottles can be picked up at virtually every general store/quick stop in america. The extend a stay's are a bit of a pain to install, but well worth the effort IMHO. I also use mine to run an external hot water tank and barbecue grill. I think I almost take the thing for granted at this point I use it so much. Troy |
