I'm doing the clutch on my '80 AirCooled Westy, and I have a few questions. It seems the procedure is about the same for the water-cooled engine. There is reference to an O ring that goes somewhere, but I didn't find one when I took the flywheel off, and can't really see where a new one would go. I have a few O rings on hand that came from a complete engine gasket set: One big beefy one that is almost as big as the oil seal and two smaller ones that look like they might either go inside the end of the fly wheel or somewhere in that area. Bentley and Haynes show pictures of the O ring but not in enough detail to really see where it goes. Any help out there?
