But it is long and no 4 wheel drive option! Basically the same length as the
Rialta and they didn't sell well either. The sticker on my 87 Syncro Westy
was around $25,800. It was on the dealers lot from early October until I
took it in February 88. They gave it to me for $19,900 and helped to get me
financing as I really couldn’t afford it with interest at 14% at that time.
They were very happy to see it go off the lot.

According to an inflation calculator I checked, if you spent $24K on a
westfalia new in 1990, the cost in todays money would be $42,000. The Nissan
is $64K and it has everything and more that the Westfalia crowd lusts over.
* They must have been reading this list for most wanted necessities and
options:
17" wheels, AC, cab AC, 317HP motor, Head lights, air-bags, traction
control, contemporary radio, Remote locks, 4 HD disk brakes, hitch receiver
w/ wiring (you can tow!), 3 rear seat belts, 5-speed auto, cruises down the
highway turning at 2K-rpm, power windows-tinted, coach battery, micro, 12v
fridge ,exterior storage(running board), water heater, Grey water tank,
front seat bed option, outside shower, cruise control, tilt wheel, compass
and exterior temp display, ABS and limited slip, 45 cubic feet of storage,
and for Dave McK, in Texas, I don't see a pesky roof sky-light.
Looks like it gets about same gas mileage as a Vanagon or better.

I had a good look. Especially at the standard 106L !!! engine. I want to
see that baby, and I'd like to see the vehicle that uses it!! In
"Specifications" under "Automotive", the line designated "Engine" lists
106L/28 U.S. Gallons . Hmmmm...... .
