My two 88 GL's are that way. Some power loss when the AC is on. However, most A/C systems pull 5 hp to run the compressor - and the 2.1L WBX only puts out 90 hp there-abouts - so some loss of performance is expected. Subies and Zetec's give you that added power needed to drive the compressor without otherwise affecting performance.
