Oops, just found Steven's mail where he describes results.  It got
filtered into the wrong box for some reason.

Steven, the two senders share a plug on top of the engine.  You could
rig up jumpers there for testing.

I think Dennis's proposal about hitting threshold pressure on the way
down just above 2k makes excellent sense.
