The key here is that the tanks on our Westfalias are NOT cylinders plus
they are permanently mounted and on a 'motor home'.
As for capacity, the regulation runs from 4 to 40 lbs. of propane.  Our
tanks are about 2.5 gallons and propane runs 4+ lbs to the gallon IIRC.
So, if we were cylinders (we are not) we would fall under the refulation.
Now, is it a good idea to have a auto stop valve in our tanks?  Might be a
little safer.  But do we need to put out a bunch of money to get a new
tank? Not for me.  BTW, my '90 Westy still has the original tank AFAIK and
it has an autostop, cuts off at exactly at 2.5 gallons.
