Use the high performance coolant. Make sure there are no leaks, internal or external. Without a pressure cap any leakage will result in the coolant disappearing. Any leak in the top of the radiator will result in a lot of coolant loss, down to the pressure cap level. Plan on plumbing a raised fill port, getting creative with a 2-5 psi relief, or just continue to use the stock pressure cap. Be sure that all the water is out with the stock cap as it will never leave. Heater performance in really cold weather is reduced. The Jello doesn't flow until it warms up. When traveling far from home plan to carry 5 gallons with you just in case.
