Paul, the two switches are for two different locations on the vehicle they are intended for. I don't know for sure about the 1.9, but the 2.1 uses both. The 0.3 bar switch monitors at low RPMs and activates the "blinking idiot light" to inform the driver that the pressure is too low at the lower RPMs. The 2.5 bar switch activates both the light and buzzer when the pressure drops below that level and RPM are higher -- I think over 2K. Using the 2.5 bar switch in place of the 0.3 bar switch would result in the idiot light operating any time the pressure dropped below 2.5 bar at low RPM, which would be any time the engine has warmed to operating temperature, I would think.

Short of it is, putting the wrong switch on would render the oil pressure warning system ineffective.
