Oh yes!! I remember the battle I had with doing mine with my uncles assistance last august,it took us about all day to do with the staples and the tack strip! It was a scramble getting that done with reassembling all interior panels/hardware,doing a laminate floor in the galley area and all the external hardware too in only 3 days due to my body man taking too long on the paint job!!! We left to go camping just short of a day late of scheduled departure. I've felt your pain!!

This was my third canvas replacement, two previous ones were Bays with the staples and plastic strips, those are a lot worse, but then, LOL, I was younger back then too! I've never taken taken the roof off, and even though my wife is around she rarely offers to help (exception-we have done lots of glass replacements together) She, like my neighbor does not care for the colorful language that goes with these projects. I've tried to tell her it is hard to jab an ice pick through your finger or smash your knuckles, and yell " Gosh golly gee that hurt". I had high hopes for this job, the old canvas removal went real fast, about an hour, sooooo much easier than the staples. I reused the little wood blocks from the old canvas and that made positioning it a lot easier. But reattaching the metal strips, especially the bottom ones, was a real PITA!
