Owner kindly sent an image of the receipt for engine work. Googling the PN: 025-100-031EX and this is the most easily read, or informative page I see:

Maybe Remtec took over the VWoC WBX remans in 2003-04 ? Engine was installed in 04.

No doubt. But. I've read of some real bad VWoC reman examples. That said, people such as yourself, who properly maintain your rigs, might not have suffered the same engine consequences with the same "bad reman".
