$32k for the basic model? I wonder how well the camping fixtures from a westy would fit in there? Well I might put in a Truckfridge (vs the Dometic) as I was re-reading the posts on them this weekend... but the stove & sink are good IMO.

I'm planning a road trip & will have to pull the Dometic again to find out why it won't light on propane, I can use it as an icebox but I'd much rather have it working. For anyone interested it's about $600 for the Truckfridge (http://www.truckfridge.com/store/page5.html TF65 AC/DC - (115 Volt AC /12 Volt DC) $599.00) and another couple/three hundred for the AGM deep cycle battery, isolator & wiring. My plans are borrowing heavily from Daryl of AA Transaxle fame<g>. (He's an ex-coastie...) http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=359831&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=180

The fuel economy in the review (with the V8) was not a plus in my book and I have no idea how they handle non-tar forest & other back roads. My Vanagon does well on the non-tar roads I go on, not as well as my '59 did but it will work.
