Nylon in general is not recommended for out door use. It will fade and break down fairly quick. Not recommended, Also will shrink. It is cheap but it is not worth the time and effort for outdoor stuff. Outdoor solution died polyester might work a bit better. There use to be a product called Triton which was Polyester with a 2 ply resin coating. (same stuff we make our windshield covers out of) but it is lighter wt. at 6.5 oz. VS. 9.5 oz. I thought that would be great since it has less then 2% stretch and shrink. But it was dropped by the mill 2 years ago. There are plenty of Tent and awning fabrics pending your applications. Sunbrella I would never use. Just to rigid. The furniture version of sunbrella is quite nice BUT not that water repellant. I had tossed around the Hemp version or Cotton for my personal canvas when the time comes. All in good fun! Jonce
