On the WBX'ers there is a brass bushing th at fits inside the fly wheel that both holds the felt seal in place. It gets punched out at machine shops when the flywheel face is machines - and they never get put back. Then the mechanics typically don't know or don't bother that the bushing is gone and the seal goes back in without the support of the bushing. That makes for problems for the seal - and your bearing eventually. BTDT!!

Be sure the bushing is there and goes in with the new seal.
