Just a thought....
I had a similar problem a while back...ended up I had pushed one of the connectors back inside the plug when I pushed it on the ECU...peeled the rubber boot back (carefully) pushed the connector back into the plastic plug with a click...installed the plug back on the ECU and checked the connector stayed seated before I rolled the boot back on...everything has been great since.
