If you do I would recommend the POI factory http://www.poi-factory.com/ and finding the "Offbeat tourist attractions" & the collection for "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". They both offer places that I would have missed along the way. There are "Man vs Food" collections too.... On a trip or two we have researched 'farmers markets' along our route before we left (or while stopped on the way). With this and a sharp eye out for roadside stands we can often find locally grown foods for dinner.
