Neil,

The original factory radio (Sound Choice 88B) in the van did not have good reception. I even paid a good bit to have the FM tuner rebuilt about 5 years ago but that did not substantially help it and it continued to be flaky. The CSS-5920E is about the same as the radio in my 2006 Subaru and Prius as far as reception on both FM and AM. I think the CSS is a little stronger but not by much.
