on any car with an air flow meter .. they will 'unflood' , eventually, with foot-to-the-floor cranking .. but there is still somewhat, the affect of the flapper door in the AFM preventing full throttle air from getting in .

pulling a large air hose out of the air boot, or removing the AFM, helps a lot to unflood, if that's what's happening.
