*Dear Syncronauts*

Syncro de Mayo is next week. Just in case you forgot. :-D

Everything is falling into place beautifully. Including the weather. It's not too late if you would like to attend. You can pre-register here:

http://www.syncrodemayo.com/register.html

Or if you are a last minute straggler, you can register at the gate (cash only). We still have a few slots for 2WD buses as well.

If you can only attend Saturday and Saturday night, p-mail us and we will send you a special payment request with a reduced admission fee.

syncrodemayo@gmail.com

You can register for just The Bus Movie and camping on the registration page.

We are expecting about 50 vans, which is the perfect size for a traditional Syncro de Mayo. Quality over quantity remains the tradition at SdM. No lines for the showers or BBQ, individualized instruction at Syncro University, and an intimate and mellow vibe in the campground.

*GATE LOCK COMBO *

If you arrive and the gate to Area 5 is locked, the combination to the lock will be 8888 beginning Wednesday morning.

That is four eights - for good-luck!

Area 5 access will be available by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 2nd. Possibly earlier if we get down there Tues. night as planned. Folks are welcome to come a day early and get set up. The park kind of screwed that up for us last year (all new personnel), but we have everything solidly confirmed in advance this year.

*TUES. NIGHT CAMPING *

Last year, a few folks arrived Tues. night. If you do arrive Tues. night, camping is available for $10 at the Sycamore or Lower Ranch Campgrounds at the park.

Sycamore is the camp site on the 4x4 trails and can be seen on this map:

http://www.syncrodemayo.com/PDF-hollisterhills_trail_map.pdf

The Lower Ranch has several campsites which will be easier to find at night than the sycamore site, and all of them are accessible via the Main entrance gate to the park (before you get to Area 5). They can be seen on this map: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/pages/1170/files/hollisterhillsmap_lowerranch-web.pdf

The Park Ranger confirmed that if you arrive after hours, you can just set up and pay in the morning. A ranger will come by in the morning and leave a tag on your van to pay at the main gate.

*ODDS & ENDS *

We have a wonderful group of people coming. We have a great menu for the BBQ dinner. Iced kegs of Spaten beer. Detlev will be bring his gasoline powered margarita making machine. There will be a social hour and informal potluck before The Bus movie. And of course the BBQ dinner and awards ceremony Sat.

Tom and Adam have been working on Syncro University, taking it to the next level. The Syncro Cup challenge will be as good as ever. And we will have a less rigorous course for the non-pros and more fragile syncros as well.

Everything is in place for a wonderful and traditional Syncro de Mayo, and we look forward to seeing all of you!

- Steve, and the entire SdM crew!
