84 Westie. The internal seal around the hatch is relatively new and in one piece all the way around. The window gasket is probably original. There are no leaves or other debris along the top channel. The rear hatch has plywood on the inside covering the latch mechanism, not sure if a previous owner did this or if it is stock. Looks like there is Corning insulation under there too.The door matches the rest of the car and I can't find any major body work that has been performed on the rear end. Rain water seems to be entering the car via the vents along the bottom of the hatch, which usually gets the rear bed wet in the passenger's corner and puddles just inside the hatch seal. Any suggestions? Thanks, David |
