Problem solved. Found i was getting 12v with key on at terminal 15 of the coil but nothing at the relays where the black wire should have been feeding 12v to.Pulled all wires off terminal 15 of the coil and found the black/white stripe wire was corroded on the plug. So i pulled the insulator down.. cleaned it up. Pushed it back on and boom...everything works. Guess there was enough corrosion that when i pushed it back on after engine swap that it just would not make a complete connection.Engine purrs like a kitten. Thanks all for your time and help. Much appreciated._Jess --- On Fri, 4/27/12, Scott Daniel - Turbovans <scottdaniel@TURBOVANS.COM> wrote: From: Scott Daniel - Turbovans <scottdaniel@TURBOVANS.COM> Subject: Re: Need help with hard start after stop To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Friday, April 27, 2012, 7:40 PM on any car with an air flow meter .. they will 'unflood' , eventually, with foot-to-the-floor cranking .. but there is still somewhat, the affect of the flapper door in the AFM preventing full throttle air from getting in . pulling a large air hose out of the air boot, or removing the AFM, helps a lot to unflood, if that's what's happening. what does she do with a bit of gas down the throat ?
