Use the Honda factory coolant if you are suspect of what the dealership offers. I compared the two and the first 6 or 7 ingredients were the same and in the same order. It's worked fine for me for about 8 yrs.

Folks, I ran Dexcool in my '84 for about 5 years before I sold it without a problem. Is anyone running a long life coolant like this or Zerex G-05? How about VW's G-12? Nothing relevant came up in the archives. I may just flush and replace with the blue stuff since I hope to re-engine with a Subaru in less than two years anyway, but it seems stupid to use that expensive product. Also, I got a set of 14" VW alloy wheels along with this rig, but no studs/nuts or center caps. Any ideas where I can get these? Are they worth bothering with? Thanks! Stuart '85 Westy
