Sounds like my solution would have been wrong for long term use. The original part may have copper rings but it's obviously toast. Thanks for the confirmation! I'm sure my FLAPS will have a similar or larger strap. It's interesting for me to see just how grungy the grounds can get. I mean like everywhere. Even connections at coil. And, that strap shared the same bolt used for a steel coolant line. (now also grungy) Don't know if that position is stock. I cleaned the surface of bolt hole 1" away and terminated negative strap there. Neil.
