My positive cable at at the starter end is showing corrosion and I have hard starting. I'm thinking trying to cut the last 1-2" off and soldering a new copper lug on. The only one I found is closed on the end - see picture here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/transporterjr/6987930200/in/photostream I don't know if I this style is good, as I figured an open end one could be soldered from both sides. Any advice? - really could use some. Also, cutting the 4/0 cable in place - does a Dremel tool with cut-off saw make sense? Happy trails,John |
