Hi Vanagons, So my ERG light came on the other day and after a bit of research I've found out it's tied to the odometer and can simply be reset whenever I'm able to find that button. Could the problem of my 82 aircooled 2.0 stalling out when I'm not revving the gas be a related problem that will simply go away at the push of a button? I had someone clean off the van and tighten some belts today, he said I needed to replace the ERG valve and that I should go ahead and order it, but Autozone says my van doesn't use that part. I'm only having problems now that it's finally above 70 degrees in Chicago. I had the same problem the last time it was over 70 on an unseasonably warm day a couple of months ago. I'm feeling pretty good after my 15,000 mile winter road trip, I want to get up to northeastern Maine as soon as I figure this one out. Thoughts? Links? Thanks trusty list! Kendra |
