Thanks Stuart. I couldn't find an exploded view in either Bentley or ETKA so it probably doesn't matter. As I understand it the tower takes the oily air from the crankcase, baffles it through the tower and routes it into the intake airstream. I'm guessing the longest route to the intake is preferred.
