Heater box is out, apart, new blower on hand, new heater core on hand. Removing the flaps to put new foam on them. The existing foam has the consistency and mechanical strength of dry sand. We were able to remove the flap assembly that points down at my feet -- the one that fires down through the two openings. But the one midway back in the box, that directs air up to the defrost vents, that one has us stumped. The axle goes full length, has a cap at one end and the cable lever at the other. We cannot figure out how to get that thing to come out. Pics online someplace to help with this little puzzle? -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott Bend, Ore. 1984 Westfalia. A poor but proud people. 1971 "Ladybug"-brand utility trailer ca. 1972 from a defunct company in San Clemente, Calif., now repurposed as The Westrailia. |
