I was just crimping new ring terminals onto negative connections in WBX engine bay just tonight. Didn't know that these terminals could crimped closer to the wire casing. (as you suggest, assuming one gets the type that can be crimped this way). That totally makes sense now that I think about it. Thanks for that.
