I am not sure exactly what the product is called, but there is some very heavy tape-like adhesive stuff that I am removing from the fairing of a motorcycle I am currently repairing. Similar to the stuff you see inside body panels on cars. Black, plastic, very strong adhesive.

This motorcycle was crashed, like many fancy sportbikes, and the plastic body work was trashed. The PO used this black adhesive sheet stuff to patch up the holes in the fairing panels, then squirted some awful paint and camouflaged the patches with decals and stickers. You could still tell there was body damage, but not so much. Whatever this product is, it works really well in that the bodywork functioned and the material stuck on there and conformed to the contours. The paint stuck to it, too. Wish I knew what it is, I'd get some for my tool box, along with my Rescue Tape..grin. Don Hanson
