Only a few days ago it was April and I was like.. ahh plenty of time.. And now it's 1st week of May and I'm like GAHHH the trip is only in 2 months... that's 60days away..

I'm planning a VW family & friends road trip (anyone here is invited to catch us if interested or when we're nearby) Pace is set your own or by group, http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5956360#5956360 Departing Upstate NY July 3rd on a trip to Coastal Maine and back July 15th

Crossing Vermont from Burlington to the North Woods & White Mtns of New Hampshire. Then thru Maine's lakes region thru Augusta, ME to Coastal Maine and Bar Harbor. Travel days are around 200mi each.

July 2012 NY to Maine travel itinerary. Please Pmail me if you have any tips or insight to the timeline or destinations

NY to Maine July 2012 travel information.

Give this a look over and give me some feedback. Much of these areas are familiar to some extent. I know there's a lot more info than needed but it's all part of the discovery/planning process.

The major considerations I used was to avoid 4th of July congested holiday areas (lake George, Bar Harbor, Franconia Notch & NH Lakes region) grueling hours of interstate travel, specifically I-90 in Mass & I-95 Mass to Portland *VT state parks have 2day min stay anyways. (only in VT SP once on trip)
