Is that imperial or US gallons?

I tracked my mileage in my 85 Wolfsburg Westfalia over 70,000 miles of driving. I averaged 17 in town and 17 on the highway at around 70mph. I only saw figures higher than 20 cruising on the back roads at 55mph or in the mountains.

Chris.
