Hi all.

After months of searching, found this locally. Some pics I took:

Seller for deceased claims vehicle "mileage" ~ 135K KM's based upon paperwork he could find. I purchased shortly after seeing it. Did not get an inspection but based upon what I know about Vanagons, and if mileage is true, this was a good purchase.

Paint is bubbling in a few spots behind front bumper (a priority), surface rust showing at one trailing arm bracket. Canvas/zippers good, LP tank rusty "4 corner" AutoFill type, OEM reg, but stove lights, no LPG leaks. Faucet works, light works.

Owner must've loved this thing. I see what are likely LED's installed at driver side light and kitchen light. Not sure if the latter is OEM housing though. That said, I see a Fram oil filter. No coolant leaks anywhere, ** slight ** oil drip at drain. Engine appeared to have been cleaned recently so...... Quick and dirty compression check engine cold, oddly, two front cylinders ~ 100 two rear, ~ 120. But van on a slope, nose pointing up. Maybe oil didn't get to forward cylinders? Will check with engine warm on level.

Tires are the NLA Michelin M&S (attn: Mark Drillock), are in great shape, near new, even wear. No idea of manufacture date ..... yet. Haven't found code.

Like any Vanagon it needs work now, but when exhaust (and fuel lines! I see return line worn at firewall! Evil plastic transition present!) done, it will be ok for now. It drove me home just fine. Clutch, brakes good, steering fine save for some poor cornering. I suspect tire pressure is issue.

Neil.
