" the fuel pump is grounded on the frame right by the fuel pump." While t-shooting a won't start problem yesterday, one of the things I checked was the fuel pump for operation and ground. Bentley says what you said, but on my '86 the FP is isolated from the frame with a rubber block on the bracket. Two wires lead toward the engine compartment.
