Squirrel,

If it doesn't come out totally fine with the hot water and dishsoap and all, and has penetrated the paint with discolor...not to worry.  That original paint is pretty thick.  Some light elbow grease and polishing compound (not the really gritty kind like sold at autobody suppliers but the lighter stuff sold at your local friendly auto parts store) may do a world of wonders.  Gently, gently, gently....blending and blending.  I'm betting you are gonna be pleased.  Worth a try.  Don't you just get bent out of gear by vandals of any kind?  Senseless.  Momentary thrill.  Someday they might just own a classic car too and realize their foolishness, we can only hope.

That was plain old d talking, but I'll tell d mod.  He'll be as sorry as I am.  Mr. Squirrel, I hope you'll let us know how it comes out.  I'll host the gory photos if you get any.

Yours, d
