dear belt buster

the belt size is very important as the "metric" sold by FLAPS may be simply a conversion label placed on the box ...

the real belt is narrower at the deep of the v than a regular metric belt ... especially in the states and especially in "metric"

proved this through at the sausalito vw a few years ago when my OEM diesel T25 California threw a belt ... the only person that knew about the belt differences was Manny the head service writer ... he took care to phone around and described to several FLAPS what i was going to require .... it took a couple of hours to get a fit ... the vw dealer did not have one ... anyway good hunting ... check the ETKA online for the right measurement ... also check your alternator mounting to engine to ensure it is tight there good luck regards
