Yah, my heater box was not sealed with any adhesive, nor were the plastic tabs welded. It was just clipped together. I lucked out there.

Now I'm worrying that the bicycle pump cooling system pressurizing trick I did yesterday to find the leak in the radiator might have caused internal leakage in the engine. I wasn't aware that the cooling system had so much pressure in it until I loosened the expansion tank cap.

Two exterior hoses did leak under pressure, at hose clamp points.

Won't know until the dash is back in, the battery re-connected, the new rad installed and coolant re-filled. Then I get to start the engine.

Fret, worry.
