I've never seen a solder type terminal that already contains solder. The flux in the solder core is just as important as the solder for a reliable connection.

Whenever wiring electrical things (gauges, whatever) I always solder on crimp-style quick disconnects as I don't trust the crimp connection. this is a bit messy.

I imagine that someone should make a quick disconnect that has some solder inside the sleeve where you insert the wire, so just insert, touch with your soldering iron, and you're done. Does this exist?

the most promising thing I've found is this: http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0710867&ucst=t which sounds like what I'm looking for. But $120 is a lot. I really only want a few quick-disconnects in various gauge sizes.

Thanks for any help! -Wes ----- No virus found in this message. Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 10.0.1382 / Virus Database: 2411/4981 - Release Date: 05/06/12
