Most likely your trailer uses combination stop-turn signals, the Vanagon has separate brake lights-turn signals. You will either need a converter of some type or add another set of lights. All the connections can be made near the left tail light.

Hello all. I have a small utility trailer and finally got a receiver hitch installed and am now looking at my least favorite part - electrons!

Any tips or suggestions to wire things up? It looks like I'll have to split into the wire bundle sheath to find and splice into the brake and turn signals. My trailer light kit has the little blue splice connectors and wire to run back to the black box.

Suggestions are appreciated.
