Interesting....I recently gave my engine compartment a careful water hose-off and wipe-down to clean off the dust after my trip to Baja; perhaps some residual moisture around the oil-sender unit or something caused the dull glow of the LED? Rich San Diego I've had an occasion recently of very >faint dull red glow from the LED at startup and idle, which >subsequently quickly faded away once at operating temperatures. That's likely a moisture-leak in the circuit. LEDs will light very faintly on almost ridiculously small amounts of current. Once it warms up and dries out the leak goes away. The actual indication will be either on or off, no in between. Yours, David |
