Excellent idea, but if you want something that will last forever, get yourself a semi-truck mud flap! Toughest stuff I’ve ever seen, and they are about 2’x2’. Often found by the side of the road in winter after broken chains rip them off, and it’s the metal bracket that breaks, not the flap . . . Might even find one with an interesting silhouette on it.

The air deflector cardboards that live in various places behind the rad grill are in pretty poor shape. Fallen loose, one is torn across a narrow portion and is hanging on by a thread.

Are there patterns or replacements available?

I see that Bentleys has some mods to the cardboards to help with "hot footwell" issue.
