Thanks, Dennis.

After posting this, and receiving an "Oh c'mon, you have enough knowhow to troubleshoot this," from David Beierl, then getting your commonsense response, I realized that I wasn't so much asking for rudimentary troubleshooting help but expressing my irritation that if it's not one darn thing, it's another. Sheesh.

I know I can trust the oil pressure gauge, it responds normally. Just have to unlimber the old multimeter and figure out what went wrong /this/ time.
